Honda riders sparkle today in race 1 of fourth round of the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship at the Madras Motor Race Track on the outskirts of Chennai.

Super Sport 165 cc
The marquee Super Sport 165cc race was a nail biting race with Mathana Kumar bagging 3rd podium finish. With this, the Honda rider from Trichy has now bagged 4 podiums including one win in the season so far.
Sarath Kumar too climbed ranks by starting from last in the combined grid of Super Sport 165cc and Pro Stock 165cc to close at 4th position. Fighting fiercely in the top was Honda’s rider Rajiv Sethu who finished 5th with a minor crash.
Pro Stock 165 cc
IDEMITSU Honda Ten10 Racing’s Senthil Kumar stamped his dominance by starting from 3rd position and taking victory in today’s race with best lap time of 1:59.204. With this win, Senthil now has 4 podiums including 1 win.
Lapping home in 2:00.274, Honda’s Asia Road Racing Championship rider Anish Shetty climbed the ranks from 8th position start to finishing 4th. Today was a hard battle for Mithun Kumar who crashed out in second lap of the race.
