Renault has finally launched the much anticipated automatic version of their already successful little car: the Kwid, at a price of Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, the automatic will be offered only on the top-of-the-line RXT(O) variant.
On the outside, the Kwid remains untouched. The main change lies on the inside; it gets a rotary knob for a 5-speed gear selector on the dashboard, instead of a stick-shift. It includes three modes: D, N and R. Unlike other AMTs, this one offers an auto-only gearbox.
This particular variant also gets an driver’s airbag. At an additional Rs 30,000 – the Kwid AMT is sure to offer a hassle-free drive experience in urban conditions.
