The second-generation Clubman has finally reached Indian shores, making it the fifth Mini to be sold in India.
The station-wagon design harks back to the original of the vintage era in terms of appeal, but now with the split two-door boot opening and of course, the typical extended tail section. The ‘Cooper S’ variant features LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, sports seats, ABS, airbags, auto climate control, stability control, an infotainment system and different drive modes. Also, it is built on the same UKL platform, like the new Cooper S and Convertible.
Under the bonnet resides a 192hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine synced to an 8-speed auto ‘box. The Clubman – like all other Minis – will be sold as a CBU import in India at a price of Rs 37.9 lakh(ex-showroom, India).
