Yamaha India has launched its new FZ series motorcycle – the FZ25, at a price of Rs 1.19 lakh(ex-showroom, Delhi).
The FZ25 – like its smaller sibling – looks like an aggressive naked street motorcycle complemented by sharp lines and a sculpted overall frame. Nestled in the frame is an all-new 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine, linked to a 5-speed gearbox. It produces 20.9hp and 20Nm of torque. The motor features Yamaha’s new Blue Cure tech that is said to make the bike more frugal at 43kpl.
Features include an all-digital LCD instrument cluster, alloy wheels, LED headlamp and tail lamp. Up-front, it gets telescopic shock-absorbers, and a monoshock at the rear. The new FZ25 is available in three shades at the moment: white, blue and black.
The competition includes the KTM Duke 200 and the TVS Apache RTR 200.
