The Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT has officially claimed the title of fastest production SUV at the Yas Marina Circuit, clocking a blistering lap time of 2:14.046 on the full 5.281-km Grand Prix layout.
Driven by racing professional Ramez Azzam, the record was set under the new official lap record protocol jointly developed by Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit, and the Emirates Motorsport Organisation (EMSO). The event included full scrutineering, a 60-minute practice, and a 45-minute qualifying session.
Powered by a 659-horsepower V8 engine, the Cayenne Turbo GT boasts 850 Nm of torque, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, Active Rear Wheel Steering, and ceramic brakes, making it the most performance-focused Cayenne to date.
This marks the first official production SUV lap record at Yas Marina Circuit, further establishing the venue as a hub for high-performance automotive achievements in the Middle East.
