The 2013 Honda City has been around for a while, and is now in need of refreshed styling and some additional features. The Greiz – sold in China – hints at what could possibly be the next new City for India, coming next year.
As far the aesthetics are concerned, the new City will get a larger grille with a huge chrome bar running the length of it; restyled headlamps incorporated with projectors, while top-end models could get LED units as well. The bumper looks beefier too – and as you move around the sides of the car, you’ll revised character lines that give it a rather masculine appeal. Tail lamps will be all-new as well, a chrome bar above the number plate is on the cards, while the rear bumper is sure to receive minor alterations. Also expect alloy wheels sporting a new pattern.
Features will include leather seats, six airbags, a new infotainment unit that boasts of Android Auto and a new mobile app. Blaupunkt is said to be involved in the making of this system.
Under the bonnet, the new City will use the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engines, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. A 5-speed CVT will be offered as well.
