Honda took the spotlight at CES 2025 by unveiling two prototype vehicles from its upcoming Honda 0 Series: the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV. Both models, slated for global release starting in 2026, represent a bold leap in automotive design, technology, and autonomous driving features.
The Honda 0 Saloon prototype combines a sporty, low-profile design with a surprisingly spacious interior. Built on a new EV platform, it showcases Honda’s commitment to advanced technologies, including Level 3 automated driving and ultra-personal optimization powered by Honda’s proprietary ASIMO OS. The Honda 0 Saloon is expected to debut first in North America in 2026.
The Honda 0 SUV, a mid-size electric SUV, features improved interior space, exceptional field of vision, and enhanced driving dynamics, including high-precision attitude control derived from Honda’s robotics expertise. Like the Saloon, it benefits from the ASIMO OS for a highly personalized and ever-evolving user experience.
Honda also introduced ASIMO OS, an original vehicle operating system inspired by its renowned humanoid robot, ASIMO. ASIMO OS enables continuous software updates via over-the-air (OTA) updates, further optimizing driving dynamics, user interface, and vehicle safety features. This system is at the heart of the Honda 0 Series models, bringing next-level automation and personalized features to the forefront.
Honda also revealed plans to expand its charging network in North America, aiming for 30,000 high-quality stations by 2030, and announced new energy services that will enable Honda 0 Series vehicles to serve as virtual power plants, reducing costs and contributing to grid stability.
Both the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV promise to revolutionize the electric vehicle landscape with cutting-edge technology, offering an unprecedented blend of autonomy, personalization, and sustainability.
