Aston Martin has unveiled the Valen, a new limited-production V12 special created by its bespoke Q by Aston Martin division. Described as the brand’s most powerful front-engined production car in its 113-year history, the Valen combines extreme performance with extensive use of lightweight materials.
At its heart is a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 producing 850PS and 1,000Nm of torque from just 2,500rpm. Power is sent through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission featuring shift strategies developed from Aston Martin’s Vantage GT4 race programme. The Valen can accelerate from 0–60mph in 3.0 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 214mph (344km/h).
Weight reduction is a major focus, with the Valen shedding up to 110kg compared with Aston Martin’s core V12 platform through the use of carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium. An optional lightweight package saves a further 16.9kg, while lightweight magnesium wheels are fitted as standard.
The car gets Sport, Sport+ and Track driving modes, model-specific suspension and steering calibration, Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers, and 410mm front and 360mm rear carbon-ceramic brakes. It also features Pirelli P Zero R tyres and the company’s Cyber Tyre technology, which provides real-time tyre data to the car’s electronic control systems.
Adding to its character is a lightweight titanium quad-exhaust system with 3D-printed titanium tailpipe finishers. The Valen also features a full-carbon-fibre body, a 170-litre boot, bespoke interior architecture and optional carbon-fibre performance seats.
Production will be strictly limited to 150 examples worldwide, with first deliveries scheduled for Q2 2027.
