AGMC, the official distributor of Geely Auto in the UAE, has launched the new EX5 EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV, marking the debut of the brand’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup in the country.
The compact SUV offers a combined driving range of up to 1,065 km, including 170 km in pure electric mode, powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine and battery system producing 317 hp and 387 Nm of torque. Priced from AED 89,900, the model aims to make sustainable mobility more accessible for UAE drivers.
Built on Geely’s Global Intelligent Electric Architecture, the EX5 EM-i features advanced connectivity, a premium interior, and strong safety credentials, earning five-star ratings from both Euro NCAP and ANCAP.
The launch also supports Geely’s broader strategy to expand its NEV infrastructure and service network across all seven emirates, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility and future-ready automotive technology in the UAE.
