2018 Audi Q5 launched at Rs 53.25 lakh

Audi has launched its new Q5 in India, now getting a huge makeover, priced at Rs 53.25 lakh. The top-of-the-line ‘Technology’ variant is priced at Rs 57.60 lakh.

 

Beneath the bonnet lies a 190hp 2.0-litre diesel motor that pushes pushes out 400Nm of torque – all of which is sent all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro system. Mated to the engine is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The new Q5 gets five drive modes: Comfort, Dynamic, Individual, Automatic and Off-road.

 

It also shares the same MLB Evo platform with the Q7. Also in common are some of the lines and edges you see on the larger SUV, and will be sold in five colours: floret silver, navarra blue, monsoon grey metallic, ibis white and mythos black. It also boasts of strikingly new LED headlamps and tail lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic glass roof.

 

Features include the awesome Virtual Cockpit cluster Display, an 8.3-inch free-standing screen for the MMI system with navigation that consists of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The top-end variant also gets in-car Wi-Fi hotspot.

 

It will take on its rivals, like the new Volvo XC60, Merc’s GLC and the upcoming all-new BMW X3.
