Maserati has confirmed a stronger return to competitive GT racing, with at least four Maserati GT2 cars set to compete in the 2026 GT2 European Series Powered by Pirelli.

Following a successful 2025 campaign, the Italian marque continues to build momentum in closed-wheel racing while celebrating 100 years since its first racing victory at the 1926 Targa Florio. The upcoming season will see established teams LP Racing and Dinamic Motorsport return, alongside championship debutant i4Race.

Defending Am Class champion Philippe Prette will again represent LP Racing, joined by rising 17-year-old talent Niccolò Pirri stepping up from Formula 4 competition. Dinamic Motorsport’s Mauro Calamia and Roberto Pampanini, strong contenders last season, also return to the grid, while Belgium’s i4Race team enters the championship with driver Antoine Potty.

The 2026 GT2 European Series will feature five rounds, beginning at Monza in May before heading to Spa-Francorchamps, Misano, Zandvoort, and concluding the season in Portimão in October.

Maserati aims to build on recent performances and target championship success during a historic centenary year that highlights the brand’s deep-rooted racing heritage.
