Stellantis has announced a landmark collaboration with NVIDIA, Uber, and Foxconn to jointly develop and deploy Level 4 autonomous (driverless) vehicles for global robotaxi services.

The partnership brings together Stellantis’ engineering and manufacturing expertise, NVIDIA’s AI and autonomous driving software, Foxconn’s electronics integration capabilities, and Uber’s ride-hailing operations to create a scalable, efficient, and safe mobility solution.

The initiative builds on Stellantis’ AV-Ready Platforms – including the K0 Medium Size Van and STLA Small – powered by NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion 10 architecture. Uber plans to deploy an initial 5,000 autonomous vehicles, with operations beginning in the U.S. and a global rollout targeted by 2028.

According to Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa, the partnership “aims to create smarter, safer, and more efficient mobility for everyone.” NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang called Level 4 autonomy “a leap in AI capability,” while Uber’s Dara Khosrowshahi described the collaboration as a major step toward deploying robotaxi fleets at scale.

This new venture complements Stellantis’ ongoing partnership with Pony.ai in Europe, reinforcing the automaker’s global push into autonomous mobility solutions.
