Yamaha R15 V3 launched at Rs. 1.25 lakh at Auto Expo 2018

The brand new version of the highly popular R15 has been launched in India at the 2018 Auto Expo for a starting price of Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It is superior in every way compared to the outgoing model with bigger proportions and improved mechanicals.

The Yamaha R15 V3 takes power from an all-new bigger 155 cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, SOHC, liquid-cooled, VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) four-stroke engine. Paired with a six-speed transmission, this engine pushes out maximum power of 19.3 hp at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of peak torque delivered at 8,500 rpm.

It measures 1,990 mm in length, 725 mm in width and 1,135 mm in height. This means, it is 30 mm longer, 55 mm wider and 65 mm taller than its predecessor. With 25 mm shorter wheelbase, the faired entry-level sports bike has all the ingredients to be agile handler while the increase of seat height by 5 mm offers more aggressive riding posture.
