Lexus have launched their smallest SUV in India, at a starting price of Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom, India), available in two variants: ‘Luxury’ and ‘F-Sport’.

The angular-surfaced styling may not be to everyone’s taste, but we’re sure there a lot of Lexus fans in India. Inside the cabin, posh leather upholstery and soft-touch materials are part and parcel of the package. Features include a heads-up display unit, 360-degree camera, anti-theft system electrically-reclining rear seats, navigation, a 10.3-inch multimedia display and a lot of other goodies.

A 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid engine, combined with a rear-mounted electric motor produces 197hp. Synced to the motor is an E-CVT gearbox, with power being sent to all four wheels.

Safety features include ABS, vehicle stability programme and eight airbags. Compared to its rivals, the NX300h is bit pricey, but that’s because it’s been brought in as a CBU. Deliveries will begin in March 2018. ARAI claims a fuel economy figure of 18.32kpl.
