Nissan has set a new Guinness World Record for towing the heaviest airplane with a production car. Using a Patrol, a driver was able to pull a 170.9 ton (155,038 kg) cargo plane 50 meters (164 feet) at the Sharjah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates. While the Patrol was completely stock, it needed a specially-made hitch to tow the massive aircraft.

As a refresher, the Patrol is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 engine that develops 400 bhp (298 kW) and 560 Nm (412 lb-ft) of torque. It connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission and an ALL MODE 4×4 system that allows the driver to easily change between four drive modes: sand, on-road, snow and rock.
