New Vantage has a claimed 0-100kph time of 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 325kph
As part of Aston Martin’s entire model revamping exercise, we just have got some fresh news from Britain with the new Aston Martin Vantage.
Visually the new model gets 30mm jump on overall width and comes with Matrix LED highlights with overall revamped front end which stylist more stylish than before. Other new features include a decorative side strake modelled on the previous Vantage, frameless mirrors and flush electronic door handles.
On the inside, the new Vantage gets a DB12 treatment on the dashboard layout. There is a new 10.25 inch touchscreen running on a bespoke Aston Martin’s own infotainment platform which gets 3D live mapping, wireless smartphone mirroring and last-mile on-foot navigation.
The engine is still the same unit from Mercedes, a 4L Twin Turbo V8 which makes 665HP and 800NM of torque! Mind you, this is the entry level Aston! And with this update, the standard Vantage is actually quicker than the V12 Vantage. 0-100kmph in just 3.5 seconds and a top whack of 325KMPH. There is a bit of tweak on the 8-speed gearbox as well.
New Vantage gets new adaptive dampers and Aston Martin claims that the rear end is 29% stiffer under load. The new vantage sits on a bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres on 21-inch forged alloy wheels.
