Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has officially launched the all-electric Urban Cruiser Ebella, marking Toyota’s entry into India’s Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) segment. Built on Toyota’s 30-year global legacy in electrified technologies, the Urban Cruiser Ebella represents a key milestone in the company’s multi-pathway approach towards carbon neutrality and sustainable mobility.

The Urban Cruiser Ebella is offered with two battery options—49 kWh and 61 kWh—delivering a certified driving range of up to 543 km on a single charge. The larger battery produces 128 kW of power and 189 Nm of torque, ensuring smooth acceleration and confident performance. Compatible with both AC and DC fast charging, the SUV also features smart charging functions through Toyota’s i-Connect platform.

Designed around Toyota’s ‘Urban Tech’ philosophy, the electric SUV features a bold hammerhead front design, aerodynamic silhouette, premium LED lighting, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin offers a premium, spacious experience with dual-tone interiors, ventilated front seats, panoramic roof, ambient lighting, and a JBL premium sound system. A unified digital cockpit integrates a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety remains a key highlight, with the Urban Cruiser Ebella equipped with Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, a high-tensile body structure, and a 360-degree camera. Toyota is also offering an 8-year battery warranty, assured buyback, Battery-as-a-Service options, and a nationwide BEV-ready service network to ensure a hassle-free ownership experience.

Bookings for the all-electric Urban Cruiser Ebella open on January 20, 2026, with prices to be announced shortly.
