Bentley Motors has announced major updates to its Beyond100+ strategy, including the confirmation of its first fully electric model and an extended commitment to hybrid and combustion powertrains based on strong global demand.
At a press conference streamed from Crewe, Chairman and CEO Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser revealed that Bentley’s all-new Luxury Urban SUV—a completely new segment for the brand—is now entering pre-series build. Set for a global debut in late 2026, with customer deliveries beginning in 2027, the sub-five-metre EV will offer hallmark Bentley craftsmanship paired with advanced technology, including ultra-fast charging that adds 0–100 miles of range in under seven minutes. Prototype vehicles have already begun global testing.
In response to evolving market trends, Bentley confirmed that its hybrid models—available across the Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur ranges—will remain on sale until at least 2035, potentially extending the brand’s earlier target of becoming fully electric by that year. The announcement reflects rising customer interest in plug-in hybrid models, particularly in key global markets.
Bentley also teased the arrival of a new limited-production, non-hybrid performance model before the end of 2025, following the introduction of the Bentayga Speed earlier this year. The brand did not rule out additional ICE-powered special editions in the future, signalling continued powertrain flexibility.
“Our first fully electric Bentley marks a bold step into a new era,” said Dr. Walliser. “At the same time, extending our hybrid and combustion offerings ensures we continue meeting customer expectations worldwide while progressing responsibly toward sustainable luxury.”
The strategy update also highlighted Bentley’s continued investment in its Crewe headquarters as part of its transformation into a next-generation, digital-first “Dream Factory.” Recent developments include a new Design Centre and Integrated Logistics Centre, with a state-of-the-art Paint Shop scheduled to open in 2026.
With the upcoming electric Luxury Urban SUV leading a new product chapter, Bentley is positioning itself for a future where innovation, sustainable engineering, and handcrafted luxury continue to define the brand.
