In earlier cars, safety was the first priority for Volvo but now the Volvo has surprised us by launching the most affordable SUV XC40 still concerning the top most safety features. The most surprising fact is that the all new XC40 is the first car to be made on a completely new platform known as CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) in which the upcoming 40 series cars will be made.

The car stands out of the crowd with its massive Volvo signature Grille with its logo in the center. the trade mark ‘ Thor-LED’ DRLs are really stunning and gives the car a stunning look. The real L-shaped led brake lights are designed pretty cool. Regarding the styling, Volvo didn’t compromised onit. The black roof top with panoramic sun roof is just outstanding. Apart from curvy lines in XC90, XC40 looks more sharp and boxy.

Talking about the interior of XC40, the chrome furnished vertical Air vents adds unique color to the dash. The dash board has this 9 inch portrait infotainment system which comes with both Apple car play and Android Auto. The quality of the knobs are exquisite. The driver’s seat is adjustable which comes with memory. Highlight is the 13 speakers from  Harman/Kardon music system makes the interior more lovable than ever.

About the safety features, XC40 comes with top class. It has Pilot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, City Safety with pedestrian, cyclist and large animal detection,  Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Hill assist, ABS, Traction control, Lane Assist and of coarse the Parallel parking assist. With a massive ground clearance of 211 mm you wont be worrying about the condition of the road. The 18 inch alloy wheels makes more practicality.

Under the hood, The Volvo XC40 R variant comes with 2 litre 4 cylinder diesel engine that gives 190bhp and 400Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to 8 speed automatic gear box. The Volvo XC40 is a car that is about to about to make a change in the entry level luxury SUV that competes with BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Mercedes Benz GLA.
