Tata Motors to host three day Truck World; Advanced Trucking Expo in Bhubaneswar tomorrow

Furthering initiatives for an enhanced purchase experience of its commercial vehicle offerings, Tata Motors will showcase its latest commercial vehicle products,  technologies and services at its ADVANCED TRUCKING EXPO’ – ‘TRUCK WORLD’ in Bhubaneswar, from September 23 – 25, 2015. A unique initiative for trucking customers and their families, the 3-day TRUCK WORLD expo will host and offer Tata Motors and its partners, communicative and promotional opportunities, ‘all under one roof’ – at Janta Maidan, Jaydev Vihar, making it a first-of-its-kind purchase experience for commercial vehicle customers, in Bhubaneshwar.

‘TRUCK WORLD’ will comprise of separate areas for product display, service related workshops for mechanics and drivers, along with hospitality and entertainment activities. A truck-art zone will host an artist creating colorful patterns, depictions, calligraphy of verses on different parts of the Tata truck. Tata Motors will also showcase a T1 PRIMA RACE TRUCK.

At ‘TRUCK WORLD’ Bhubaneswar, Tata Motors will showcase over 35 Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles, including the Tata PRIMA Range of Trucks and Tippers. The expo will also host its own service related brands like Tata Genuine Parts, Tata Delight and Tata FleetMan. Tata Motors’ key vendors partners, financers and value-added service providers will also be present at the Expo.

The company also has two state-of-the-art heavy commercial vehicles from its PRIMA range of tippers, for deep mining applications (not showcased at this expo) –

Tata PRIMA 3138.K

The Tata PRIMA 3138.K has been built specifically for deep mining in Coal, Iron ore, Lignite mines, as well as bulk Limestone movement in off-road applications. Considered a tough performer that can successfully tackle every challenge in heavy-duty deep mining operations. Tts high level of robustness comes with a specially designed stronger chassis frame. The 8X4, 31-tonne GVW commercial vehicle with a 19 Cu.mt tipper is fitted with 4-axles, and a 9-speed Eaton transmission, powered by the Cummins ISLe 9L (CRDi) engine, producing a maximum power of 380 HP. Reliable breaking for a heavy duty mining vehicle, is courtesy ABS and hub reduction axles. The PRIMA’s spacious air-conditioned Day cabin, with pneumatically adjustable seats and an adjustable steering wheel, provides for enhanced driver comfort, for long hours of operations, thereby offering faster turnaround time.

Tata PRIMA LX 2528.K is an ideal combination of power and economy for mining and construction application. Built specifically for off-road mining applications, the Tata PRIMA LX 2528.K is considered a tough performer that can successfully tackle every challenge in heavy-duty operations. Its high level of robustness is due to its stronger chassis, specially designed 12 X 24 mining tyres and durable suspension. A reliable powertrain ensures that possible loss of power or dissipation from the engine to the wheels is mitigated and kept at a minimum, thereby increasing efficiency. It is powered by a Cummins ISBe 6.7 CRDI BSIII engine, which has a maximum power of 280 HP. The product features includes a Tata G1150 9 Speed Gear Box, Tata Motors Heavy Duty Bogie suspension, chassis frame, single plate push type organic clutch.

Having attracted a crowd of over 10,000 truckers and their families at ‘TRUCK WORLD’ expo’s held in Gurgaon, Vijayawada, Salem and Kolkata so far. Tata Motors also plans to organise these expos in other trucking centres across the country, with the next Expo being planned in Indore on October 08–10, 2015.

OTHER UNIQUE TRUCKING INITIATIVES BY TATA MOTORS

For an enhanced product experience, Tata Motors hosted Season II of the T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP in March 2015, at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida. The championship featured 12 Tata PRIMA race trucks built for the purpose, driven by experienced international drivers representing six teams, competing against each other.
