Impressive Indian Jehan Daruvala Finishes Second in GP3 Test

The Formula 3 regular, Habsburg opted for MP Motorsport from Adren after two testing days. In fact, the MP Motorsport team is the one replacing DAMS for 2018 and the time with them in the saddle has been crucial last Saturday.


The team from Austria was the quickest in the morning with a appreciable time of 1:54.869 and he indeed got better of the impressive Indian driver, Jehan Daruvala who swapped from MP Motorsport to Arden as well for the third day and he finished second with a time just two tenths adrift.


The returning Jakes Hughes to GP3 championship with ART outfit led the afternoon session with a time of 1:55.578 and he spent a season of racing at Formula 3 in 2017. Despite his good effort, the morning timings proved to be the decisive factors as Habsburg was on top of Daruvala’s time.


The latter was almost a second faster than Nikita Mazepin while Niko Kari, who was the pace-setter in the opening two days with MP Motorsport and was on driving duties with Campos, was just four thousandths further back.


Callum IIott and Hughes from ART finished in fifth and seventh sandwiching Max Defourny of MP. ART drivers Callum Ilott and Hughes grabbed fifth and seventh, split by the remaining MP driver, Max Defourny.Trident’s Pedro Piquet, Gabriel Aubry of ART and another Trident driver Giuliano Alesi finished in top ten.
