Ather 340, 450 E-Scooters launched in India at a price starting from Rs 1.09 lakh

Ather Energy have launched 340 & 450 electric scooters in India at a price Tag of 1.09 lakh INR and 1.24 lakh INR (all inclusive on-road price).

The Ather 340 and 450 scooters both look alike except the fact that 450 has higher battery capacity and also more distance range than the 340 scooter. The scooter has the language of smart design and the edge at the corners looks sharp and futuristic. It comes with aluminum and Steel hybrid frames with alloy wheels and disc brakes at front and rear.

About the performance, the Ather 340 is powered by a 4.4 KW with a torque of 20Nm and the claimed top speed is 70kph with 0-40kph is 5.1sec. The Ather 450 is powered by a 5.4KW with a torque of 20.5Nm and the claimed top speed is 80kph with 0-40kph in 3.9sec.

About the range, the Ather 340 has a claimed real world range of 60 km and the Ather 450 has a range of 75 km. There are power and economy modes. The company claims that the scooters can charge about 80% in about 50min.

When it comes to features, the Ather scooters stand off the crowd. It has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with live navigation system indicating the next charging station, Custom User Interface, adaptive LED Headlights, remote diagnostic alerts, Parking assist, combined brakes and many more. A mobile app can interface with the vehicle touch screen system and also provides other useful riding information throughout the journey.

There are benefits including a special subscription plan which have free access to the AtherGrid and Ather will reimburse e-wallet to the customers every 3-months for charging at their residence or any other private location. The other benefits include free maintanence, free data for navigation, diagnostics and road side assistance.
