Renault India has announced a major testing milestone for the all-new Renault Duster, which has successfully completed over 1 million kilometres of rigorous testing across three continents. The extensive validation programme exposed the upcoming SUV to extreme temperatures ranging from –23°C to 55°C, ensuring durability across diverse real-world conditions.
As part of the programme, the new Duster conquered high-altitude testing in Leh–Ladakh, reaching Khardung La at 18,379 feet, one of the world’s highest motorable passes. Additional trials included dust tunnels, water-wading zones, sub-zero environments, steep gradients, high-temperature testing, and intensive city and highway driving across India.
Global tuning exercises were carried out in markets including Brazil, Romania, France, China, and the Czech Republic, while Indian-specific validation was conducted on public roads and specialised test facilities such as NATRAX, ARAI, GARC, and ICAT.
Renault says the exhaustive testing confirms the new Duster’s readiness to build on its iconic legacy, delivering a refined balance of rugged capability, safety, and on-road performance. The all-new Renault Duster is scheduled to be officially unveiled on Republic Day, 26 January 2026.
