McLaren Automotive has announced Garage 59 as its new racing partner for the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) from the 2026 season, succeeding United Autosports, which will now focus on developing McLaren’s upcoming LMDh Hypercar for its 2027 debut.

Garage 59, a multiple championship-winning team with a rich history in McLaren machinery, will take over the LMGT3 programme, aiming to build on the brand’s growing success in endurance racing. The partnership follows McLaren’s maiden WEC victory earlier this year with the GT3 EVO, run by United Autosports.

Nick Collins, CEO of McLaren Automotive, stated, “Motorsport is intrinsic to McLaren’s DNA, and it’s exciting to continue our LMGT3 journey with Garage 59. We look forward to maintaining our race-winning performance and strong progress in 2026.”

Garage 59’s Team Principal, Andrew Kirkaldy, added, “Competing in WEC with McLaren is a statement of intent. We have the people, infrastructure, and resolve to be competitive from day one.”

With a proven track record that includes titles in GT World Challenge Europe and British GT, Garage 59’s collaboration marks a new chapter for McLaren’s endurance racing ambitions.
