BMW has emerged as a standout performer at two of Germany’s most influential automotive award ceremonies, securing top honours across multiple categories and reaffirming its strong position in the global premium car market.
At the prestigious “Golden Steering Wheel” awards, organised by Auto Bild and Bild am Sonntag, the new BMW iX3 claimed the title of “Best Innovation”, recognising it as a technological milestone and the first production model from BMW’s Neue Klasse. Meanwhile, the BMW M5 Touring triumphed in the “Upper/Luxury Class”, praised for combining performance, practicality and premium craftsmanship.
BMW also dominated the “Auto Trophy” readers’ poll conducted by Auto Zeitung, capturing victories in nine categories, the most of any manufacturer. Winning models spanned the brand’s full portfolio—from the BMW 1 Series and BMW 5 Series to electric entries like the BMW iX1 and the award-winning iX3. This broad sweep highlights the company’s strength across combustion, hybrid, and fully electric vehicles alike. Additionally, BMW retained its title as “World’s Best Brand”, as voted by readers.
BMW’s wins underline its momentum heading into 2026, as the company continues expanding its Neue Klasse lineup and strengthening its role in the global shift toward electrification.
