At the upcoming Sao Paulo Motor, Honda is set to unveil a hatchback-crossover that is based on the Honda Jazz – and will take on the likes of the Hyundai’s i20 Active, Toyota’s Etios Cross and Fiat’s Avventura.
As this first sketch reveals, the front-end appears bold, with pumped-up design cues, stylish wraparound headlamps and bold chrome grille similar to the one on the BR-V. The side profile looks identical to the Jazz’s however, but plastic cladding around the wheel arches and skid plates at the front and rear are sure to give it a masculine appeal. Interior pictures haven’t been leaked yet, but expect something similar to what the Jazz has on offer.
Under the hood, the crossover will employ the same 90bhp 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine found in the Brio, and the 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that works in some of Honda’s other models as well. Expect a 5-speed manual for the petrol, while a CVT could be offered as well.
