Stellantis Middle East has reinforced its ongoing safety awareness campaign urging owners of certain Opel, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles equipped with Takata airbags to immediately check recall status and complete free repairs.
The ‘Stop Drive’ notice applies to selected models manufactured between 2003 and 2018 identified as higher-risk under the global Takata airbag recall. Owners of affected vehicles are advised not to drive their cars until the airbag inflator replacement is completed.
Takata airbag inflators may deteriorate over time, particularly in hot and humid climates, potentially causing rupture during deployment and posing a serious safety risk.
