Mercedes GLA is the baby SUV in the long line-up of SUVs from Mercedes Benz and after 6 years Mercedes Benz is bringing the second generation GLA with some interesting changes.

GLA is now 0.6 inches shorter and wheelbase has been elongated by 1.1 inches. The big difference is that the new GLA is 4.1 inches higher than before. The increase in height gives the car a beefier look than the old small-car look.

From the outside, the second generation GLA looks like it got a facelift, but once you step inside the cabin, you will know that this is an entirely new car. The car is now bigger and thus offering more room for first and second row passengers.

GLA lineup starts with the base variant offered in front-wheel-drive 250 model equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol motor producing 221 hp and 350 Nm of torque mated to an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. This engine can be hooked up to an all-wheel-drive system for the GLA 250 4Matic model as well.

The spicier AMG GLA 35 will make 302 hp and 400Nm of torque from the 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox with 4Matic.

When you activate the car wash function, the mirror folds, closes all the windows, including the sunroof and the rain sensor is temporarily deactivated  while the climate control automatically switches to air-recirculation mode.
